Features

Zipperless Versatility — Our Light Quilts are offered in two styles: Fast Footbox™ or Convertible Footbox. The Fast Footbox™ is our simplest, lightest, and quickest. With a single clip and minimal fuss, it easily converts from warm “mummy mode” to spacious “wide mode”. In addition to both mummy and wide modes, our Convertible Footbox also unclips to lay completely flat. The Convertible Footbox provides maximum versatility in warmer temperatures and when used with accessories.

The Kylie-curve™ — The Kylie-curve™ is a 3/4-length baffle-backed drawstring on the top edge of our quilts. Unlike traditional backpacking quilts that have a drawstring spanning the entire width, the shortened cord length on the Light Quilt cinches only the center portion, so it softly seals around your neck but doesn't shorten the overall usable width of the quilt. By cinching only the center, either edge of the quilt is left loose to drape at your sides to block drafts as you move and turn over.

Thermally Mapped Baffles — We designed our quilts to maximize thermal efficiency, distributing down to provide the most warmth where it’s needed. Smaller baffles minimize down-shift, vertical baffles around the upper body prevent down from sliding, and horizontal baffles on the top of the foot box keep down from shifting with foot movement.

Purely Semi-Rectangular – The Light Quilt is purely semi-rectangular. This not only provides full coverage when used flat but completely eliminates the common hour-glassing pinch point issue that other quilts have when the foot box is formed. Rotate and move freely at night without the quilt grabbing and twisting around.

Quality Materials — The Light Quilts are filled with premium 800 fill-power HyperDRY™ down. This down uses a natural wax-based compound to make it water resistant. It is durable, fluorocarbon-free, and RDS (Responsible Down Standard) compliant.

Unconventional Fabric — Most ultralight quilt makers shed weight by making their fabric a thin and clingy 10 d. We opted to find clever ways to ditch ounces while keeping the fabric a very soft, comfy, and durable 20 d. 20 d fabrics are much softer than traditional ultralight technical fabrics while only being a fraction heavier.

25D Pongee Detail| Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Premium Pongee Comfort

It’s about time our legendary Pongee fabric made its debut in our bestselling bed. The Light Bed's NEW lightweight 25D Pongee liner feels like an actual soft liner, not a shell fabric, bringing just enough home-like comfort to the backcountry without the extra weight.

Draft Shield | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Draft-Free

Together, the hood and wings of the sheet create a draft shield. Attaching your quilt to the draft shield keeps it "tucked" at your sides to block drafts and guides the corners of the quilt into the hood to seal in warmth around your neck and shoulders.

Kylie Curve | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Kylie-Curve™

Other quilts have a drawstring running the full width of the quilt that lifts the sides and lets in drafts. The baffle-backed Kylie-curve™ cinches only the center, leaving either side loose to drape around you or tuck into the hood to block drafts around your shoulders.

Semi rectanuglar design | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Semi-rectangular design

Other quilts are commonly hourglass in shape, creating a pinch point that causes the quilt to graband twist as you move. Zenbivy quilts are semi-rectangular, providing you the space and freedom tomove naturally-without constriction.

Thermaly mapped duffle | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Thermally-mapped baffles

We designed our quilts for thermal efficiency, distributing the down fill to provide the most warmthwhere it's needed, with smaller baffles to minimize downshift. We focus primarily on keeping the heat at your core and feet, but provide ample insulation in every chamber for consistent warmth.

Origami Baffle | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Origami Baffle™

Our convertible quilts overlap when forming the footbox to allow a natural taper. The drawstring is curved to create a 5 cm baffle (the Origami Baffle™) that is rolled inside and snapped to block any possible drafts when cinched shut.

Light Bed Integrated Insulated Hood | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Integrated Insulated Hood

Unlike a traditional backpacking quilt + straps combo, Zenbivy sheets feature an integrated hood to insulate your head. Sheets are available in insulated styles for full mummy bag warmth or uninsulated styles for use in warmer weather or to line with a down jacket.

Headboard Clips | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

Headboard clips

All SoftTop™ pillows and new 2024 Zenbivy sheets feature headboard clips. Just like your headboard at home, the built-in clips keep your pillow from sliding off your mattress

900 fill Dry Down | Zenbivy Sleeping Bag Systems

800 Fill-power HyperDRY™ Down

The Light Beds use top shelf 800 fill-power HyperDRY™ down. Built for performance, this premium down uses a natural wax-based compound to make it water resistant. It is durable, fluorocarbon-free, and RDS (Responsible Down Standard) compliant.

If down isn't your thing, check out our Light Bed 4°C Synthetic.

Reimagined Light Sheets

Comfort-Mapped Fabrics — The new 2025 Light Sheets are comfort-mapped with 25D Pongee to add comfort where you need it and 15D Nylon to save weight where you don't!

Two Sheet Styles — Our full length Light Sheets are back and here to stay. The full length Light Sheet offers maximum comfort and coverage, while the half length Light Sheet is lighter and more packable.

Simplified Sizing — We made a bold choice to discontinue our 50-cm-sheet. Our 63-cm-sheets work on narrower mattresses. Plus, we find that most people are using a mattress 63 cm or wider. More space, more comfort!

Customers praised this convertible quilt as "super comfy" and lightweight with excellent comfort. Many said they've "never slept so well outdoors." The convertible footbox offers versatility for different temperatures. Some concerns: temperature ratings may run cold, with shoppers needing extra layers at stated comfort temps. Clip fastening difficult in darkness.

My first test with a quilt on a 3 day hike/bivouac in the massif des Bauges - super comfy. I’m looking into getting a new compression bag as the Zenbivy is sooooo poofy! I love it!

Nice quilt with fancy options. The fabric is a bit noisy as they all have but soft. The down is not very breathable in warm conditions.

I used it in sweden with a night temperature of 12C, and I was Cold. This isn't a warm quilt by comparison to other brands.

Hi Aidan, thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear the quilt didn't keep you warm enough in those conditions. Just want to make sure you connected it correctly to the sheet (sheet's side panels on the outside of the quilt) and if the footbox has been properly closed to prevent cold air from entering.
Thanks
Werner
