Reliably comfortable, warm, and durable– the Base Mattress is perfect for any car camping or backpacking trip, and is a great option if you’re upgrading from a closed cell mattress or buying your first camp pad.
The Base Mattress achieves an all-season, ultra-warm R5 with the same premium foam core found in our Flex Mattress and pairs it with a durable 75 D Polyester Taffeta for a no-frills mattress that delivers. The Base Mattress is self-inflating, but for faster manual inflation you can pair it with an Inflation Dry Sack (not included). The smart reversible valve allows you to inflate it with ease, and dump air quickly when you’re ready to pack up and head home.
The Base mattress is everything you need, and nothing you don’t - a tried and true mattress that will give a good night’s sleep no matter where you are.

The foam-insulated Base Mattress is unusuallv warm, offering an R-value of 5 for all-season warmth and EN matched performance.
Self inflating
The Base Mattress is self-inflating, but the valve is compatible with our Inflation Dry Sack for faster
manual inflation. The reversible valve keeps air in while inflating and out while deflating. Optional Inflation Dry Sack sold separately.

Materials
Urethane foam
The urethane foam insulation in the Base Mattress is unusually warm, providing a minimum of R5 warmth for EN/ISO-matched performance.
